<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of detecting the presence or absence of objects around and the directions to them without having to provide a plurality of radar modules. <P>SOLUTION: The radar system includes a radar module 2 provide for a vehicle, and the radar module 2 receives at least part of reflection signals of transmitted radar signals as reception signals and detects objects around on the basis of the reception signals. The radar module 2 includes both a radar signal transmission and reception part 4 for generating and transmitting radar signals having a center frequency of 26 GHz and radar signals having a center frequency of 29 GHz and detecting the presence of objects around and the directions to them by comparing reception signals each corresponding to the radar signals with each other and a radome 5 for protecting the radar signal transmission and reception part 4. The radar signal transmission and reception part 4 changes over between the radar signals having a center frequency of 26 GHz and the radar signals having a center frequency of 29 GHz in a time series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
