PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed computation device capable of highly accurately calculating a vehicle speed on the basis of the number of vehicle speed pulses even when a vehicle accelerates or decelerates.SOLUTION: A vehicle speed computation device 10 includes a vehicle speed calculation unit 11, a GPS speed calculation unit 12, an acceleration acquisition unit 13, an estimation unit 14, and a correction unit 15. The vehicle speed calculation unit 11 calculates an uncorrected vehicle speed pulse speed on the basis of the number of vehicle speed pulses of a vehicle. The GPS speed calculation unit 12 calculates a GPS speed on the basis of a positioning signal broadcasted from a positioning satellite. The acceleration acquisition unit 13 acquires an acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor 18 mounted in the vehicle. The estimation unit 14 estimates a speed error in consideration of a correlation between a difference value between the uncorrected vehicle speed pulse speed and GPS speed, and the acceleration. The correction unit 15 corrects the vehicle speed pulse speed according to the estimated value of the speed error.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
