An oxygenate to olefins conversion reactor system comprising: a) a riser reactor having an inlet for feed, an inlet for catalyst and an outlet; b) a primary gas/solids separator having an inlet for the reactor effluent, an outlet for products, and an outlet for catalyst; c) a secondary gas/solids separator having an inlet for the products, an outlet for final products and an outlet for catalyst; d) a first conduit connecting the riser reactor outlet with the primary gas/solids separator inlet; and e) a second conduit connecting the primary gas/solids separator products outlet with the secondary gas/solids separator inlet wherein the second conduit has at least one injection point for injecting a cooling medium into the effluent.
