PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of wrinkling in a recording material after fixing.SOLUTION: A fixing device 50 includes: a heating roll 510; a pressure belt 520; a pressure part for pressing the pressure belt 520 from the inside of the pressure belt 520 toward the heating roll 510 to form a fixing nip part NF; a pressing pad 522 for pressing the pressure belt 520 from the inside of the pressure belt 520 toward the heating roll 510 with a pressure lower than that of the pressure part to form a pre-nip part NP at the upstream side of the fixing nip part NF in a conveyance direction A of a sheet; and a pressing part for pressing the pressure belt 520 from the inside of the pressure belt 520 at the upstream side of the pre-nip part NP in the conveyance direction A so as not to come into contact with the heating roll 510. The pressing part is formed such that the length of the conveyance direction A is increased from the center part to both ends in a direction crossing the conveyance direction A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
