PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a sufficient glossiness at a building material surface and realize a sufficient fixation of ink without damaging an appropriate moisture adjustment function when the building material and the like are to be dried and at the same time to prevent reduction in image quality through a printing process.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for drying a moisture adjustment building material 2 of porous base material in which pre-treatment liquid containing at least water, water dispersion resin and fine particles with average primary particle diameter of 300 nm or less coated comprising the steps of: transporting within a drying furnace 401 while the moisture adjustment building material 2 is mounted on a transferring belt 201 closely adhered against a surface opposite to a coated surface coated with the pre-treatment liquid of the moisture adjustment building material 2 under high airtightness with the coated surface becoming an upper surface; and drying by blowing heated air against the coated surface of the moisture adjustment building material 2 under a state in which the moisture adjustment building material 2 is mounted on the transferring belt 201 under a high airtightness within the drying furnace 401.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
