A rubber compound containing silicon dioxide for the production of tyres and comprising a polymer base with a cross-linkable unsaturated chain, a filler comprising silicon dioxide, a silane bonding agent and a vulcanization system. The filler further comprises a composite mineral consisting of a mineral of the zeolite family, onto which a layer of silicon dioxide has been deposited.
