The invention relates to a winding machine for winding a group of threads to form a plurality of bobbins. For this purpose, the winding machine has a winding spindle (3.1, 3.2) with a protruding clamping chuck (12) for receiving multiple bobbin tubes (7), and the clamping chuck can be driven by a multipart driveshaft (16) which is mounted in a hollow support (20). A rear bearing shaft (16.2) is coupled to a drive, and a front bearing shaft (16.1) which is coupled to the rear bearing shaft is coupled to the clamping chuck and is mounted in the hollow support via a damped bearing (25.1, 25.2). In order to allow an intensive damping without structurally weakening the clamping chuck, an additional damping means (22) which is arranged outside of the bearing in an axially offset manner is provided between the front bearing shaft and the hollow support. |
