Provided are a data processing method and apparatus, and a terminal. The method can comprise: when an access request for encrypted data in a terminal is received, acquiring an access configuration of the encrypted data, the access configuration comprising a biometric key access mode and/or a character key access mode; outputting key input prompt information according to the access configuration; if a biometric key input operation executed according to the key input prompt information is detected, calling a system API interface of the terminal to collect an input target biometric key for verification to obtain a verification result; and responding to the access request according to the verification result. The present invention can have access to encrypted data based on a biometric key access mode, thereby simplifying an access operation flow for the encrypted data, improving the data access efficiency and the data processing efficiency, and improving the intelligence of a terminal.
