1. A stable pharmaceutical composition consisting of:
Linezolid Form III having an x-ray powder diffraction spectrum having peaks at about 7.6, 9.6, 13.6, 14.9, 18.2, 18.9, 21.2, 22.3, 25.6, 26.9, 27.9, and 29.9, expressed as degrees 2θ, soy polysaccharides as a disintegrant; and at least one of:
a pharmaceutically acceptable non-polymeric excipient selected from the group consisting of mannitol, sorbitol, xylitol, lactose monohydrate, dicalcium phosphate, tribasic calcium phosphate, calcium sulphate, magnesium stearate, zinc stearate, calcium stearate, sodium stearyl furnarate, stearic acid, and mixtures thereof; anda polymer selected from the group consisting of microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxylpropyl methylcellulose, povidone, hydroxylpropyl cellulose, maize starch, and mixtures thereof; wherein said composition releases more than 90% of the Linezolid therein in 45 minutes upon contact with water. |
