<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more excellent transglutaminase activity promoter, involucrin formation promotor, epidermal cornification-normalizing agent, and skin barrier function ameliorator. <P>SOLUTION: Cardamonin has transglutaminase activity-promoting activity and involucrin formation-promoting activity. The cardamonin is well known as a main active ingredient of an extract of Alpinia katsumadai Hayata, and from the finding, the transglutaminase activity promoter, the involucrin formation promotor, the epidermal cornification-normalizing agent, and the skin barrier function ameliorator can be provided by using the cardamonin as an active ingredient, or by formulating the form of the extract of the Alpinia katsumadai Hayata. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
