HEAT TREATMENT METHOD OF DRUM GEAR

PURPOSE: A heat treatment method of a drum gear is provided to improve a competitive power by treating the drum gear with heat without quenching. CONSTITUTION: In producing a drum gear(12) having a diameter of more than 3m, a shape of the drum gear is produced with cast steel added up with 0.03 to 0.05% of vanadium. After the shape of the drum gear is tempered, plural fans(14) and rubber hoses(16) are arranged around the drum gear. Wind and water are sprayed through the fans and hoses to the drum gear. Then, the heat treatment of the drum gear is completed.
