A work-place lighting arrangement with cabinets (13) mounted above the work-surface (11) has the lights (14) installed as flat square-shaped light-boxes (18) in a recess in the bottom floor of the top-mounted cabinet (13) which radiates light (24), via the deflection action of a light-guide foil (23) placed behind the emitting-side glass-plate (20) with a prism-shaped structured surface.
