A support structure (10) is fastened to the gondola (4) and projects down inside the tower. It is stiffly-connected for rotation with the gondola, resisting distortion by torque. Electrical generator(s) and ancillaries are mounted in the support structure. Together with this structure, they form a common center of gravity, which is located below the axis of rotation (8). |
