A tool assembly for creating an opening in a hollow core structure that includes a cylindrical hole saw having an annular cutting surface and at least one rebate blade positioned adjacent to the exterior sidewall of the hole saw and having a cutting surface in a plane approximately parallel with the cutting surface of the hole saw. The rebate blade is located a predetermined distance below the cutting surface of the cylindrical hole saw. The assembly is powered by a conventional hand drill.
