PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spray gun heating device which is capable of heating a spray gun with simple constitution and stably discharging an optimum amount of discharge of a viscous coating material constantly. SOLUTION: The spray gun heating device for heating the spray gun 12 for discharging the viscous coating material by moving from an evacuation position to a coating application position has blocks 26 and 27 abutting on the coating application gun 12 in the evacuation position and a heater 28 for heating the blocks 26 and 27. The device directly heats the coating application gun 12 by abutting the gun on the blocks 26 and 27 to supply stable heat to the spray gun 12 and regulates the viscous coating material in the spray gun 12 at an always adequate temperature, thereby maintaining the viscous coating material at a viscosity state to permit good coating from the start of the coating work.
