PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for capping hollow fiber membranes which is capable of easily subjecting the hollow fiber membranes intermingled with the hollow fiber membranes of different materials to filling-up at the end of the hollow fiber membranes and a filling-up device for hollow fiber membrane for the same. SOLUTION: The front ends of a hollow fiber membrane bundle 1 mingled with the first hollow fiber membranes 11 consisting of the material capped by its own melt when the front ends are heated and the second hollow fiber membranes 12 consisting of the material not capped even if the front ends are subjected to heat treatment are simultaneously subjected to heat treatment and pressurization treatment, by which the front ends of the first hollow fiber membranes 11 are melted and therefore the first hollow fiber membranes 11 are capped by their own melt 11a and the second hollow fiber membranes 12 are also capped by the melt 11a.
