PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crusher which is capable of surely and efficiently crushing a material to be crushed and the crushing rollers of which are hardly worn in the crushing operation of the material to be crushed and, the crushing efficiency of which is hardly reduced and further which has excellent durability and a simple structure and is suitable for mass production and also inexpensive and very economical. SOLUTION: This crusher capable of crushing a material to be crushed with a pair of crushing rollers S, is provided with: a hopper C placed above a feed port of the casing B; a pair of feed rotors T each of which is supported by a shaft within the hopper C in a freely rotatable manner; and a drive means for rotating the pair of feed rotors T so as to feed the to-be-crushed material charged into the hopper C to the casing B by rotation of the pair of feed rotors T; wherein when the crushing load of the to-be-crushed material on the pair of crushing rollers S reaches a prescribed value, operation of the pair of feed rotors T is stopped to stop the feed of the to-be-crushed material in the hopper C.
