Al-Mn ALLOY SHEET WITH EXCELLENT PRESS FORMABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the press formability of a three thousand series Al-Mn alloy sheet. SOLUTION: In the Al-Mn alloy sheet with excellent press formability: Mn and Si are contained as alloy components in amounts of 0.6-2.0% and 0.1-1.0% by mass, respectively; the average particle size of >=0.01μm precipitates is 0.2-0.5μm; and a heat generation peak stands at 230-300 deg.C on the differential scanning calorimetric curve.
