FUEL TANK FOR AUTOMOBILE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE FUEL TANK, AND JOINING MOLD FOR THE FUEL TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile fuel tank formed by combining the opening rim parts of an upper tank and a lower tank which are the constituents of the fuel tank and molded separately and joining the opening rim parts surely and uniformly with a molten resin, a method for producing the fuel tank, and a joining mold used in the production of the tank. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the automobile fuel tank, the opening rim parts 12 and 22 of the upper and lower tanks 10 and 20 constituting the fuel tank 1 are combined in the joining mold 30, and the molten resin is injected into the joining recessions 13 and 23 of the opening rim parts to join them integrally. A flow regulating valve 37 is fitted to each of runners 34. Ring-like ring channels 36 are formed close to the peripheries of the opening rim parts 12 and 22 of the fuel tank. The ring channels 36 and the joining recessions of the opening rim parts 12 and 22 are connected by numbers of gates 38 to join them integrally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
