PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a chromate coating, and to prevent the impairing of characteristics such as the corrosion resistance caused by the omission of the chromate coating. SOLUTION: A sealing member such as a shield plate 6 and a seal, mounted on one of bearing rings 2 of an anti-friction bearing 1 for sealing an annular space 5 between the bearing ring and the other raceway member 3 is provided with a metallic ring 8. The metallic ring 8 has a zinc plating layer 8b on its surface, and a surface of the zinc plating layer 8b is directly coated with an inorganic coating such as a lithium silicate coating 8c. The corrosion resistance and the workability same as that obtained in a case applying the chromate coating or more can be obtained by controlling the coating quantity of the inorganic coating 8c or adjusting a method of forming the inorganic coating 8c.
