<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jar apparatus of a printer, capable of improving the durability of blades and a jar roller, easily adjusting the gap between the leading edge of each blade and the peripheral surface of the jar roller to a predetermined size and quickly and easily adjusting the original position of the blades. <P>SOLUTION: The blade 21 is mounted to a jar base 14 so as to make a tiltable reciprocating movement, forward and rearward, around a support shaft 22a formed in a support protrusion 22. The blade 21 is energized with a bolt 23 engaged with the jar base 14 and a compression spring 24 in the direction so that the gap G between the outer peripheral surface 13a of the jar roller 13 and the blade 21 becomes smaller. A gap set-up rod 41 is mounted position-adjustably in the forward and rearward direction with respect to the jar base 14. The position of the lower edge part 21e of the blade 21 is regulated, and the gap G in a predetermined size is held so as not to be reduced to zero.
