A driver IC for an organic EL(Electro-Luminescence) display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to protect the driver IC from erosion by forming the driver IC inside a seal substrate. An organic EL display device includes a substrate(110), a driver IC(130), and a seal substrate(140). An organic light emitting diode(120) is formed on the substrate. The driver IC is electrically connected to the OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) through a signal line. The seal substrate seals the OLED and the driver IC. A protection protrusion(141), which is thicker than the driver IC, is formed on the seal substrate. The driver IC is attached to the seal substrate by using an adhesive agent. An electrode pad is formed at an end portion of the signal line. The driver IC includes bumps which are connected to the respective electrode pads. |
