The device has a spatial adjustable measuring arm (16) for measuring a physical measuring object (15). Two supporting stands (37) has front ends (30) corresponding to a preset device so that the supporting stands are positionable on a base surface (36) of a measuring device (10) by a preset device. A coupling component (38) is provided with a coupling device for front ends of the supporting stands so that the coupling component is mounted at the supporting stands after positioning the supporting stands and provides supporting positions (32-35).
