The information system for a motor vehicle driver is integrated with a computer to give a cordless data exchange with facilities outside the vehicle. It automatically seeks respondents, identifies them and sets up a communication link. Communication is through a wireless local area network (W-LAN) connection unit. The computer has a Blue tooth(RTM) interface.
