The device has a blower (L) and a low-temperature cooling circuit (NT). The power electronics (LE,DC) is arranged in the low-temperature cooling circuit, which has a coolant pump (P) and a radiator (K). The blower is arranged in such a manner that it supplies air directly to the power electronics. The low-temperature cooling circuit has an auxiliary coolant pump. An independent claim is also included for the method for cooling of power electronics in motor vehicles.
