摘要 A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize luminance difference by adjusting a turn on period of a power recovery switch along scan directions of first and second groups in dual scanning. A plasma display apparatus includes plural address and scan electrodes, an address electrode driver(300), and a controller. The address electrode driver includes a power recovery capacitor(C1) and an address driving circuit(310). The address driving circuit includes a first switch which controls a current path between the power recovery capacitor and the address electrodes. The address electrode driver turns on the first switch during a first period while a voltage of the address electrodes is converted from a first voltage to a second voltage and during a second period while the voltage of the address electrodes is converted from the second voltage to the first voltage. The controller divides the scan electrodes into first and second groups, applies plural scan pulses to the scan electrodes, and varies one of the first and second periods according to a scan direction by which the scan pulses are supplied to the scan electrodes.
