A method for recognizing data in a jumper structure is provided to determine a model of an air-conditioner and obtain correct data depending on a count of jumper input data by scanning the jumper in the jumper structure comprising hardware for predetermined times and recognizing the jumper input data. Jumper input is scanned for predetermined times(S10). It is determined whether jumper input data recognized in each jumper input scanning are a high or low level(S30). A high count is checked by increasing the high count depending on the high or low level of the jumper input data(S60). A model or a function of an air-conditioner is selected whether the high count is higher than a predetermined count(S75,S80).
