<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve natural sound localization corresponding to the attitude of a listener. <P>SOLUTION: A sounding body 14 is attached to a head of a listener to reproduce a reproduced sound corresponding to an acoustic signal SOUT. A sound image localization section 42 processes an acoustic signal S0 to localize the sound image of the reproduced sound at a virtual sounding point. A detection body 61 detects the direction DH of the head of the listener. A detection body 62 detects the direction DB of the body of the listener. A position control section 22 controls the position of the virtual sounding point in accordance with to the directions DH and DB so that it may be at a specified position to the direction DB regardless of the change of the direction DH. For example, the position control section 22 moves the virtual sounding point in the opposite direction to the change of the direction DH, and moves it in the direction of the change of the direction DB. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
