PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system, capable of effectively preventing a crime by lighting of an ordinarily used luminaire upon detection of access or intrusion of a suspicious person or the like while dispensing with a luminaire exclusively used for security. SOLUTION: The system comprises a luminaire 2 (2A, etc.) connected to a lamp line 1 and a human sensor 4 (4A, etc.), which are provided within or near a house H. A controller 10 which lights or flashes, in response to a human sensing signal emitted by the sensor 4, the luminaire 2 when it is extinguished, and flashes the luminaire 2 when it is lighted is connected to the lamp line 1 in parallel to the luminaire 2.
