SOLUTION: This location compensation method includes the steps for calculating maximum values of the signal intensities in a plurality of pieces of processing data in the frequency axial direction, determining frequency axial processing data having a largest maximum value out of the maximum values of the signal intensities in all the frequency axial processing data, and calculating the amount of displacement for displacing a point where the signal intensity of the determined frequency axial processing data becomes maximum, to the frequency axial center O in the space k. Then, this method displaces phase axial processing data in the space k based on the calculated amount of displacement, executes centering, and then, executes a half echo processing to generate an image.
