摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine capable of efficiently desorbing an adsorbed unpurified component by making air intake negative pressure of the internal combustion engine sufficiently work on an adsorbent in carrying out desorbing treatment of the adsorbent. SOLUTION: A by-pass passage 20 is provided in parallel with a main passage part 14a of an exhaust passage 14 in the internal combustion engine 10 and change-over valves 28, 30 are provided on both sides of the by-pass passage 20. Further, a purge passage 24 is connected to an upstream side passage part 20a of the by-pass passage 20 and a short circuit passage 32 and a flow regulating valve 34 are provided on a downstream side passage part 20b. Consequently, it is possible to make the air-intake negative pressure led in from the purge passage 24 stably work to a position of the flow regulating valve 34 in carrying out the desorbing treatment of the adsorbent 22. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently desorb the unpurified component adsorbed to the adsorbent 22 in a negative pressure atmosphere. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
