The process includes the stage of carrying out the pyrolysis of said waste and the stage of recovering said metal from pyrolysis, and is characterised in that said pyrolysis is carried out in the presence of a cracking catalyst and under conditions suitable for permitting total conversion of the plastic that said waste includes to gas, in reactor conditions (1), and in that it also includes the stage of recovering said gas to make use of it to produce energy and/or materials. The reactor is characterised in that it includes contact system named spouted bed that permits said metal to be separated from the bed without need to remove the catalyst.
