The invention relates to a rotary electrical machine having a homopolar structure, comprising a number Npe of electrical phases. The machine consists of: - a juxtaposition, along the rotational axis (n8) of the rotary electrical machine, of at least one pair of armatures (n3, n3') having a number of poles Np, placed on both sides of at least one inductive coil (n5) wound around the rotational axis (n8), two adjacent armatures (n3, n3') being angularly offset by any electrical angle θs, preferably between 0° and 180°/Npe; - at least one "passive" inductor (n4) comprising ferromagnetic material, separated from the armatures (n3) by an air gap (n10).
