PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information display device capable of estimating an area suitable for a purpose from specific position information on map information and displaying the estimated area on the map information.SOLUTION: A map information display device according to an embodiment causes, according to purpose information selected by a user, position information corresponding to the purpose information to be displayed on map information. A storage unit stores an area estimation algorithm for estimating an area according to a predetermined geographical rule related to the map information, on the basis of extraction position information extracted from information source according to a certain attribute. An arithmetic unit selects an area estimation algorithm according to the purpose information, and executes the selected area estimation algorithm. An output unit outputs the estimated area obtained by executing the area estimation algorithm, together with the map information to a user-side terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
