Distributed computing in a wireless communication system. Reports may be received from a plurality of nodes in a wireless communication system. Each respective report may include information regarding computing resources at the respective node. A notification of a request for a computing resource may be received from a first wireless user equipment device. A first node may be selected from the plurality of nodes to provide the computing resource based on the reports received from the plurality of nodes. The first node may be assigned to provide the computing resource.

1. A wireless user equipment (UE) device acting as a first node in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
a radio; and a processing element; wherein the radio and the processing element are configured to:
send information regarding computing resources at the first node to a computing distribution node;receive a request to provide a computing resource for a second node in the wireless communication system from the computing distribution node; andprovide the requested computing resource for the second node, wherein the second node is a wireless device in the wireless communication system, wherein providing the requested computing resource for the second node comprises providing the requested computing resource for the second node at least partially via a peer-to-peer wireless link between the first node and the second node.
