PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a driver characteristic more accurately by actively changing a data range of a travel log used for driver characteristic calculation according to a feature of the accumulated travel log.SOLUTION: A vehicle driving support device includes: a vehicle information classification unit for acquiring vehicle information and imparting element classification information; a data storage unit for storing the vehicle information to which the element classification information is imparted as a travel log in a travel log storage unit; a hierarchy information table in which a hierarchical level is set for each element and which is classified for each hierarchical level; a use data range determination unit for reading the travel log, referring to the hierarchy information table, specifying the classification of the hierarchy information table including the travel log from the element classification information, calculating an accumulated data amount of the travel log in each classification for each hierarchical level and determining the range of the travel log used for calculating the driver characteristic on the basis of the accumulated data amount; a range limitation data extraction unit for extracting the travel log in the determined range from the travel log storage unit; a feature value calculation unit for calculating a feature amount from the extracted travel log; and a driver characteristic calculation unit for calculating the driver characteristic on the basis of the calculated feature amount. |
