The invention provides a vehicle body structure which can prevent interferences between an outer panel of a vehicle door and hinges and well ensure appearance. The vehicle body structure (10) is provided with a sub vehicle door (30) on a door main body (16) via a lower vehicle door hinge (25) in a free rotating manner, and the outer surface of the door main body (16) is formed through a lower door appearance part (19). Compared with a rotating center (79) of the lower vehicle door hinge (25), a hinge side end portion (39a) of a lower outer panel (39) of the sub vehicle door (30) located on the inner side of the vehicle door. The outer surface of the sub vehicle door (30) is formed through an appearance part (41) made of a resin. The appearance part (41) and the lower door appearance part (19) are spaced at an interval by a lower spacing part (83). An appearance extension part (85) of the appearance part (41) extends from a hinge side end portion (41b) to the direction of the lower door appearance part (19) and to the direction of the internal (28) of a vehicle. |
