发明名称 OPTICAL WIRING BOARD
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve packaging density by forming the optical waveguide with remarkable narrow width on a board consisting of a clarifying material by the irradiation of light to reduce the radius of curvature of bending an optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The optical waveguide 2 with narrow width is formed by irradiating the board 1 consisting of the material clarified by the irradiation of the light with the light selectively. In other words, an irradiation part becomes transparent by heating and melting and making into glass by irradiating the plate shape board 1 generated by the material clarified with the irradiation of the light with a laser beam, and the optical waveguide 2 can be formed on the board 1. A part except the input/output part of the optical signal of an optical wiring board 3 comprised in such way is coated with an opaque coating material, and optoelectrical and electrooptical conversion modules 4 and other electronic components 5 are packaged on the part. Also, film consisting of the clarifying material can be used as the board 1, and also, the optical waveguide can be formed by exposing the board 1 by using a mask.
