PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by omitting efforts of putting through an arrow and removing an oily ingredient and to contact/fix an antenna element and an arm without incurring a flaw or cockles on the arm. SOLUTION: In this method of fixing the antenna element, the antenna element is inserted into an insertion hole of an arm, and the antenna element is fixed on the arm to form a right angle. A recessed groove is engraved in the lengthwise direction of a confronted part of the arm, the insertion hole is opened in the part of the recessed groove, and the antenna element is inserted into the insertion hole of the arm. In the direction where the recessed groove is closed, the arm is subjected to press-work to deform the insertion hole, so that the antenna element is brought into contact with the arm and is fixed.
