PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus capable of eliminating the conventional problem that a transmitter is damaged or detached. SOLUTION: This image communication apparatus comprises a slave unit 1 and a master unit 2. The slave unit 2 has a slave unit transmitting part 11 for transmitting an image signal, a sound signal, etc., a camera 12 for photographing an object and outputting an image signal, and a slave unit control part 15 for controlling the whole. The master unit 1 has a master unit transmitting part 21 for transmitting an image signal, a sound signal, etc., a receiving part 22 for receiving the image signal, the sound signal, etc., an image recognizing part 23 for recognizing an image, a target setting part 24 for setting an image target, and a master unit control part 25 for controlling the whole.
