PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which has a function of easily performing work for setting image processing contents in an image processing system having a scanner function without caring about the security of a network, and is safe so that the setting of the image processing contents cannot be changed by the other person. SOLUTION: A computer transmits information about the setting of image processing contents to a portable terminal via a local interface, and the setting information is stored in a storage section of the portable terminal after authenticating a user. If the user carrying the portable terminal storing the setting information moves near an MFP, the portable terminal authenticates the user, and then transmits the setting information to the MFP via the local interface.
