METHOD AND SYSTEM OF TRANSFERRING 1X SERVICE USING 2G SERVICE REDIRECTION MESSAGE

A 1X service converting method using a 2G SRM(Service Redirection Message) and a system thereof are provided to enable switching to a 1X system by using the 2G SRM, when a failure occurs in the overall 2G MSC(Mobile Switching Center) or in ASP(Access Switching Processor) unit. If a failure occurs in a 2G system(S300), a 1X MSC changes an NDSS(Network Direct Service Selection) function(S302). A 2G BSM(Base Station Manager) SRM is delivered(S304). When a call processing procedure to a 1X system is confirmed(S306), service conversion is completed(S308).
