<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize the clocks when an apparatus equipped with an interface of lines for extending the lines is extended in terminal repeater equipment taking a duplex arrangement of active and standby based on regulations such as SONET or SDH. <P>SOLUTION: In an extended apparatus, clocks supplied, respectively, from active/standby apparatus are compared. Each clock is delayed variably based on the comparison results so that clock phase control can be carried out for the active apparatus and the standby apparatus even in the extended apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
