PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding type common mode choke coil not having directionality in which common mode impedance is raised and a predetermined characteristic impedance can be attained easily. SOLUTION: In the winding type common mode choke coil formed by winding a pair of wires 2 around the winding portion 1a of a magnetic or nonmagnetic drum core 1 and connecting the end of winding electrically with an electrode 3 provided at the flange 1b of a drum core 1, the wire is wound symmetrically from the central position of the winding portion 1a to the flanges 1b and 1b at the opposite ends with an inter-wire distance (a) and an inter-winding interval (b).
