PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an image display device capable of maintaining a high display performance for a long period and of improving reduction in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This is the manufacturing method of the image display device provided with a front face substrate 11, an envelope which is oppositely arranged to this front face substrate and which has a rear face substrate, and a getter membrane 23 installed in the envelope. A getter solution containing a particular getter material is supplied while being agitated, a bonding liquid is supplied of which a liquid temperature is kept at 10°C or less, the getter solution and the bonding liquid supplied are ejected onto the inner face of the constitution member constituting the envelope by a spray or a dispenser, and the getter membrane 23 is formed.
