<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a health food or a medicine which prevents and treats allergic symptoms, especially atopic dermatitis and has excellent safety. <P>SOLUTION: The antiallergic agent, especially the antiallergic agent for atopic dermatitis comprises mycelium essence extracted from a mycelium culture of Basidiomycetes. The mycelium essence of Basidiomycetes is preferably mycelium essence of a basidiomycete which is obtained by inoculating the basidiomycete into a solid medium composed of bagasse as a base, then proliferating the mycelium to give a mycelium-containing solid medium, untying the solid medium, adding water and one or more kinds of enzymes selected from cellulase and protease to the untied solid medium while keeping the solid medium at 30-50°C, grinding and mashing the solid medium in the presence of the enzyme to extract the mycelium essence of the basidiomycete, then deactivating the enzyme and sterilizing the essence by heating the essence to 95°C. Lentinula edodes, Hericium erinaceum or Flammulina Velutipes is preferable as the basidiomycete. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
