PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for treating hair, improving voluminousness of hair, while imparting moisture retaining property to the hair. SOLUTION: The composition for treating hair comprises (A) L-theanine, (B) a phosphonic acid-based sequestering agent, e.g. etidronic acid, and (C) an aminocarboxylic acid-based sequestering agent, e.g. ethylenediamine tetraacetate, hydroxyethylethylenediamine triacetate and diethylenetriamine pentaacetate.
