PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder for preventing damages such as wear or indentation of respective components, even when the number of times of its use is increased, by reducing mutual frictional resistance of the components in holding a tool as well as by accurately holding the tool. SOLUTION: The tool holder 1 comprises a tool holding tube 3 integrated to a tip of a holder body 2 and a pressure ring 4 arranged on the periphery of the tool holding tube 3 for axially moving and elastically deforming the tool holding tube 3 to the radial direction. An annular fluid sealing part 10 is provided between the tool holding tube 3 and the pressure ring 4, and filled with oil-containing fluid containing oil component. This considerably reduces the frictional resistance between the pressure ring 4 and the tool holding tube 2 in axially moving the pressure ring 4, and a diameter of the tool holding tube 3 is contracted by hydraulic pressure of the oil-containing fluid so as to hold the tool 7, which can prevent the damages such as wear or indentation to the pressure ring 4 and the tool holding tube 3.
