PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting approach of a person with high accuracy in an early stage, and switching a power supply state according to the degree of the approach.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a human body detection sensor 105a comprising a pyroelectric sensor, and a compound-eye lens 105c forming an infrared detection area where the area becomes smaller as approaching closer to an image forming apparatus with each unit lens in an outward separation direction of the image forming apparatus. The image processing apparatus determines whether or not output of the human body detection sensor exceeds one or more thresholds, and if determined that the output exceeds the respective thresholds, switches a power supply mode for respective units of the image processing apparatus. |
