The present invention provides a movement information measuring device, a control method for the same, and a control program for the same, which are capable of providing additional values utilizing a short-range wireless communication function to a user while suppressing power consumption. The movement information measuring device (10) is provided with: a body motion detecting unit (1) that detects information corresponding to the motion of a user; a communicating unit (3) for short-range wireless communication with another device that has a function of measuring the movement information of the user; a sound detecting unit (6) that detects sound; and a controlling unit (2) which measures the movement information of the user on the basis of the information detected by the body motion detecting unit (1), which determines the presence of a person on the basis of the sound detected by the sound detecting unit (6), and which controls the operation status of the communicating unit (3) on the basis of the determination result. |
